The Mongolian Society for Medical Oncologists has successfully cleared the initial stage of the application process for the City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), marking a crucial step forward in our commitment to advancing cancer care in our city.

In a recent communication from the C/Can team, we received the heartening news that our Expression of Interest has been warmly received and has successfully passed the first phase of the selection process. This achievement underscores our organization’s unwavering dedication to improving cancer care and our collective efforts to make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by cancer in Ulaanbaatar.

The next phase of the application invites us to delve deeper and present a comprehensive view of our cancer care initiatives. This is an opportunity to showcase the depth of our commitment and the significant strides we are making towards a robust cancer care framework in Ulaanbaatar. It is a chance to highlight our accomplishments and the future impacts we aspire to achieve.

To advance to the next stage, we are called upon to submit a complete application by April 1st, 2024. The application process has been streamlined for efficiency, with an online application form available via a provided link. 2. Telehealth Services: Enhanced telehealth services to provide virtual consultations, support, and follow-up care for liver patients, ensuring continuity of care, especially in rural areas.

3. Liver Disease Registry: Established a national or regional liver disease registry to collect and analyze data on liver disease prevalence, treatment outcomes, and epidemiological trends.

4. Advocacy for Hepatitis Elimination: Actively engaged in efforts to eliminate hepatitis in Mongolia by advocating for vaccination programs, testing, and treatment access.

5. Patient Advocacy: Advocated for the rights and well-being of liver disease patients, including access to affordable medications and healthcare services.

6. Community Workshops: Conducted workshops in local communities to educate individuals about lifestyle choices that promote liver health, such as nutrition and alcohol moderation.
